Surprisingly, the Government proposed increasing the minimum wage by 10%, which was accepted by the tripartite conciliation commission. The decision constitutes a clear recognition that the reactivation plan was going wrong. In several columns I showed how the reduction in savings caused by the coronavirus had been intended to be offset by the fiscal deficit of 9% of GDP and by the market. The typical model of inequitable growth was configured in which wages grew below productivity. Labor income decreases with respect to the national product and the Gini coefficient rises and is now the second highest in the world (0.55).
