Elaboración del diagnóstico del grado de madurez en administración de proyectos de la jefatura de tecnología de negocios transaccionales de el tiempo casa editorial en Bogotá D.C.
...Rincón Choconta, John Alexander. | 2015
The present work of degree was developed in the area of transactional business of El Tiempo Casa Editorial with the objective of establishing the degree of maturity in project management that the area has, after about 4 years of having implemented a methodology and processes aimed at the administration of projects. Currently, there is no diagnosis about the application of the processes and methodologies implemented; nor certainty about what may be the points to improve. The identification of the degree of maturity in project management is an essential input to improve the methodology used in the area and achieve increased compliance in the triple constraint in the projects developed. To define the aspects related to the measurement, a bibliographic review was carried out that allowed identifying the models most used by different industries to obtain the degree of maturity in "project management" 38. Once the most applied models were known and detailed, an analysis and evaluation was carried out taking into account the requirements of the project sponsor as well as the requirements of the degree work. Once the model was selected, the tool to collect the data was built, applied to the selected ETCE collaborators and the data obtained was analyzed. As a result of the collection and analysis of data, the head of transactional business technology has a level of maturity in project management of 51% corresponding to level 3. This level implies that the processes established for project management are standard within the area and applied to all projects, where top management supports the institutionalization and documentation of these standards. Among the areas of knowledge, it is observed that those that present a greater degree of maturity are the area of integration and acquisitions, in contrast to the areas of stakeholders and communications that present the lowest percentages of maturity. The research carried out allows, based on the results obtained, to determine possible improvement activities, including establishing a clear policy on project management, improving the management of stakeholders, integrating an information system for project management, training and Project training, integrate the use of Earned Value and continue with the measurement of the level of maturity. The results of this work will allow the Transactional Business Headquarters of El Tiempo Casa Editorial to know their strengths and weaknesses regarding the administration of projects, and identify strategies to improve said administration.
