conjuntos residenciales, parques industriales, instituciones educativas
y edificaciones gubernamentales.
The Gualí - Tres Esquinas wetland is located at 2535 m.s.
an approximate area of 1294.3 hectares and is located in the central part
of the Eastern Cordillera, in the west of the savannah of Bogotá,
between the municipalities of Funza, Mosquera and Tenjo, next to the
Trunk of the West.
This wetland is the natural limit between Funza and Mosquera, converted
currently in an axis of urban development, in whose bank they are located
residential complexes, industrial parks, educational institutions
and government buildings.
Due to its geographical location, the water recharge basin has been
come reducing, subjecting the lagunar body to strong pressures
that deteriorate the quality of the water resource and put the flora at risk
and fauna that lives there.
During a perimeter tour eleven download points were identified
of rainwater, four direct discharges of wastewater,
one from the Funza treatment plant and one recharge point and five
of drainage, operated by the Hydraulic System of Environmental Management
and Flood Control of La Ramada.
Applying the models proposed by Karydis (1983), with the index
of eutrophication (EI), it was determined that the wetland has
mesotrophic and eutrophic. On the other hand, using the methodology
of Vollenweider and the weighted inverse distance (IDW), using the
ArcGis software, it was established that it is in a eutrophic degree.
With this level of eutrophy, the strong impact generated is evident
in the wetland the recharge performed by the Hydraulic Management System
Environmental and Flood Control of La Ramada with river waters
Bogotá, captured at the height of the Chicú River, in the municipality of Cota, and
the effect of direct discharges of wastewater from
the municipal capitals of Funza and Mosquera.
