The objective of the article is to present the design of the interface for the acquisition of data from the climatological station located in Guaymaral (latitude: 04º49'20.4""N, Longitude: 74º04'10.2""W; 2585 masl). This work is part of the research project ""Measurement of local air quality, through an IoT system and advanced data analytics"", funded by the Colombian School of Engineering JULIO GARAVITO (Colombia). The methodology begins with the request of the data of the meteorological variables by the WIFI module and through the UART, to the server of the District Secretary of the Environment of Bogotá (http://201.245.192.252:81/StationInfo.aspx? ST_ID = 8), in Forward SDA. The received HTML file is saved in RESWIFI, and it is processed in order to debug the essential information of the variables. This information is then sent, via serial interface, to the node of the LoRaWAN network. The results of the design of the interface allowed to receive information of the variables particulate material (PM10 and PM2.5), speed and direction of the wind (Vel10M and Dir10M), temperature (T2m, T8m and T20m), relative humidity of the environment (RH), atmospheric barometric pressure (PB), solar radiation (RS), precipitation, ozone (O3), nitrogen monoxide (NO) and nitrogen oxides (NOX), with which the historical behavior of three of them was graphed: PM10, O3 and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), which are air pollutants.

Análisis de respuesta nociceptiva mediante la señal de EEG

En el presente artículo, se analizó el proceso nociceptivo mediante señales de electroencefalografía (EEG) de 17 voluntarios, quienes recibieron un estímulo nociceptivo y durante la presencia de este, evaluaron el dolor percibido según la escala EVA. La señal de EEG se analiza en línea base y en el momento en que se tiene el valor de dolor más alto de la escala. Para el análisis, se hizo una previa remoción de artefactos presentes en los canales a trabajar mediante el uso de la transformada wavelet discreta. Una vez obtenida la señal filtrada, se hizo una descomposición en bandas de ondas cerebrales características theta, alfa, beta y gamma, usando filtros FIR; con el fin de ver la deferencia interhemisférica del valor RMS entre pares de canales complementarios. Se analizaron las diferencias interhemisféricas de línea base contra las de dolor máximo en cada una de las bandas encontrando que, en promedio, la variación más significativa se encuentra en onda theta y en los canales ubicados en regiones correspondientes a zona media del cerebro.

Development of an Android mobile application for cycle users of the city of Bogotá D.C.

This article is about the development of an application for smartphone phones with Android operating system for cycle route who transit in the city of Bogota D.C. The development of the project was achieved with the help of a methodological process, which was structured in four phases, these phases are described: the general context of applications developed in Android, needs identification of cyclical, mobile application development, validation and results; The coupling of these stages allowed to analyze the current situation and to design, program and implement an application according to the needs of the study population, in order to encourage the use of the bicycle as a means of transport for sustainable mobility. The application developed includes the following functionalities: georeferenced maps of the network of cycle route and bicycle route of the city of Bogota, by selecting a source point and a destination point a route is generated, which is drawn on a map, which has in The possibility of users having information on the status of the cycle route through the qualification of the state of the road, lighting and signaling, search for parking cycle, creation of public or private points of interest such as bicycle stores, Workshops of repair, hydration points, among others, history of the route made with information of the time spent in making the route and access to the information of events and tips.

First approach to the modeling process of the sensor base on fiber optic for the detection of vehicular overload

En este artículo se explican los avances logrados en el proceso de modelamiento teórico del sensor basado en fibra para detección de sobrecarga vehicular. El diseño metodológico cubre la primera fase de revisión del estado de arte, y la segunda, de experimentación de laboratorio y simulación para obtener una primera aproximación al modelo del sensor. La investigación se hará para cargas estáticas correspondientes a vehículos C2 de peso vehicular bruto máximo de 17 Toneladas, distribuido en el eje simple direccional y en un eje simple no direccional. Como resultados parciales se presentan la selección del tipo de señal y sus parámetros más adecuados; así, como el comportamiento de la fibra óptica frente a esfuerzos.

First approach to the modeling process of the sensor base on fiber optic for the detection of vehicular overload

In this article we explain the progress made in the theoretical modeling process of the fiber-based sensor of the detection of vehicular overload. The methodological design covers the first phase of revision of the state of art, and the second, of experimentation of laboratory and simulation to obtain a first approach to the model of the sensor. The investigation will be carried out for static loads corresponding to vehicles C2 of maximum vehicular weight of 17 Tons, distributed on the simple directional axis and on a simple non-directional axis. The selection of the type of signal and its most suitable parameters are presented as partial results; so, like the behavior of the fiber optic against efforts.

Impacto en la enseñanza de la Sostenibilidad en el proceso de aprendizaje del diseño arquitectónico

Este artículo presenta un diseño experimental por efectos que relaciona los estilos de aprendizaje, los componentes de la formación sostenible y las competencias adquiridas por el Arquitecto para el desarrollo de Proyectos de Diseño. En la primera fase se identifican los componentes sostenibles básicos a tener en cuenta en la enseñanza-aprendizaje a partir de una revisión de la literatura enfocada al marco de referencia colombiano. En la segunda fase se diseña un instrumento de medición del aprendizaje de la Arquitectura Sostenible, utilizando como factores el Bioclimático, de Autosuficiencia y Ecológico, el objeto del instrumento busca medir las competencias en estos componentes. Por último, se analizan los resultados utilizando software SPSS, con el fin de generar estrategias de priorización e incorporación de temáticas en la formación de la Arquitectura sostenible y su conjunto de las metodologías pedagógicas de aprendizaje.

Las organizaciones enfrentan continuamente, en su entorno, retos que las conducen a la búsqueda de ventajas competitivas sostenibles. Nuevas Ecuaciones de Inyección de Energía para Facilitar las Tareas de Automatización

La investigación propone nuevas ecuaciones de inyección de energía de los sistemas de control de variables continuas cuando se usa una interfaz digital PWM de modulación de ancho de pulso agregada a un microprocesador, para facilitar las tareas de automatización. Estas nuevas ecuaciones deben ser conocidas por estudiantes e ingenieros debido a que existe una gran posibilidad de hacer aplicaciones de control automático rápidas, baratas y eficientes que deben estar al alcance de todos. Los libros actuales de control automático son un compendio de modelamiento matemático, ninguno muestra una integración entre modelamiento matemático, análisis físico, electrónica digital, electrónica análoga, electrónica de potencia y diseño de algoritmos en lenguaje de máquina. Esta investigación hace un esfuerzo por integrar los anteriores conocimientos y aporta la deducción de nuevas ecuaciones para poder hacer realidad las estrategias de control proporcional integral (PI) y proporcional integral derivativo (PID) en un microprocesador que posee una interfaz digital PWM.

Multiple partners contribute data in this context, data that is often centralized for processing at some cluster-based or supercomputer-based infrastructure. In contrast, real distributed collaboration that involves processing of data from several partners at different sites is rare. However, such distributed analyses are often very interesting, in particular, for scalability, security and privacy reasons. In this article, we motivate the need for real distributed biomedical analyses in the context of several ongoing projects, including the ICAN project that involves 34 French hospitals and affiliated research groups. We present a set of distributed architectures for such analyses that we have derived from discussions with different medical research groups and a study of related work. These architectures allow for scalability, security/privacy and reproducibility issues to be taken into account. Finally, we illustrate that these architectures can serve as the basis of a development method for biomedical distributed analyses.

Simulation and Verification of Synchronous Set Relations in Rewriting Logic

This paper presents a mathematical foundation and a rewriting logic infrastructure for the execution and property verification of synchronous set relations. The mathematical foundation is given in the language of abstract set relations. The infrastructure consists of an ordersorted rewrite theory in Maude, a rewriting logic system, that enables the synchronous execution of a set relation provided by the user. By using the infrastructure, existing algorithm verification techniques already available in Maude for traditional asynchronous rewriting, such as reachability analysis and model checking, are automatically available to synchronous set rewriting. The use of the infrastructure is illustrated with an executable operational semantics of a simple synchronous language and the verification of temporal properties of a synchronous system.

Theorem Proving Modulo Based on Boolean Equational Procedures

Deduction with inference rules modulo computation rules plays an important role in automated deduction as an effective method for scaling up. We present four equational theories that are isomorphic to the traditional Boolean theory and show that each of them gives rise to a Boolean decision procedure based on a canonical rewrite system modulo associativity and commutativity. Then, we present two modular extensions of our decision procedure for Dijkstra-Scholten propositional logic to the Sequent Calculus for First Order Logic and to the Syllogistic Logic with Complements of L. Moss. These extensions take the form of rewrite theories that are sound and complete for performing deduction modulo their equational parts and exhibit good mechanization properties. We illustrate the practical usefulness of this approach by a direct implementation of one of these theories in Maude rewriting logic language, and automatically proving a challenge benchmark in theorem proving.

Towards a measuring framework for knowledge creation in smart cities

This article investigates the implications of general models of smart sustainable cities (SSC) on the indicators and measurement frameworks that we use to study them. We first investigate the mainstream theory of SSC and their corresponding measurement frameworks. From the analysis, we show that such frameworks do not address the dynamic behaviour of cities. We then explore knowledge based smart sustainable cities, as an alternative theory of SSC, and investigate the measurement frameworks derived from this theory. We show that, despite having a different approach, these measurement frameworks still depend on static indicators and promote static view of the city. We then conjecture that this is due to fussy definitions of knowledge and incomplete investigations of the implications of latest theories of knowledge over the structure and strategy of smart cities. Finally, we propose a set of premises and principles that will improve the theory of Knowledge based smart sustainable cities (KBSSC) and show how this new definition will affect the design of indicators and measurement frameworks in a KBSSC.

TRIS: A Three-Rings IoT Sentinel to Protect Against Cyber-Threats

The Internet of Things (IoT) is considered as an emerging technology with considerable potentialities. Its paradigm of everything connected together invaded the real world, with smart objects located in several daily appliances able to communicate autonomously through already existing network infrastructures. On the downside, the great advance carried by IoT in our life brings at the same time serious security issues, since the information flow among the objects remains mainly unprotected from malicious attackers. The paper at hand proposes TRIS, a novel sentinel to protect smart environments from cyber threats. Our sentinel shields the IoT devices using three defense rings, resulting in a more accurate protection. Additionally, we discuss the actual deployment of the sentinel using open-source tools. Exhaustive experiments are conducted on the sentinel, showing that the deployed sentinel performs meticulously even in heavily stressing conditions, thus demonstrating the applicability of TRIS in a distributed and dynamic scenario such as IoT.

El valor de la Inteligencia Artificial en el Servicio al Cliente EciBot

En el presente artículo se muestran resultados de los avances obtenidos como resultado de un proyecto de grado realizado por estudiantes de pregrado del programa de Ingeniería de Sistemas de la Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería, proyecto que planteó como objetivo principal: "Diseñar, desarrollar implementar y evaluar un Agente Inteligente (Chatbot), como recurso tecnológico para la atención a la comunidad. El artículo muestra resultados de las diversas etapas de desarrollo del proyecto: investigación para conceptualizar la tecnología denominada Chatbot y su evolución, análisis de infaltables en la construcción de un Chatbot para que logre su correcto funcionamiento, identificación de problemas prioritarios de la Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería, relacionados con la comunicación con la comunidad y finalmente conclusiones.
