Abstract (English)
Climatological data observed over several years have shown that
Climate change is a reality, therefore, it is necessary to investigate its possible
effects on different natural processes on the planet.
The increase in greenhouse gases has caused a marked
trend towards increasing temperature and decreasing precipitation
worldwide, substantially affecting the normal water cycle, reducing its
availability for human consumption and other species, which normally capture and
They use water through surface sources.
Another alternative for the use of water resources corresponds to the
groundwater, which is generated through infiltration through layers of materials,
depositing in aquifers of different kinds.
Currently, underground water deposits are used for
different purposes such as agriculture, consumption, tourism, recreation, etc. However,
mainly variations in precipitation and temperature can affect recharge
decreasing levels and making accessibility more difficult over time.
The present research work consisted of estimating the effects of
climate change in the recharge of aquifers in the Paipa Geothermal System, for which
which, a significant volume of information extracted from sources was collected and processed
primary and secondary, giving as an initial result a hydrogeological model of the
geothermal system composed of 434 units, which takes into account topography, relief, geology, geomorphology, coverage, soils, etc., through which it was estimated
initially the monthly and annual potential recharge for a control period between the year
1991 and 2021.
