La economía se verá seriamente afectada por el incumplimiento de la regla fiscal y el cuantioso déficit en cuenta corriente. Los gestores y guardianes de la regla fiscal claman que está se incumplirá en el próximo año en más del 2 % del PIB y, en consecuencia, el déficit fiscal superará el 5 % del PIB. Si a esto se adicionan los ajustes de la reforma a la salud y pensional, se tendría un déficit fiscal que supera ampliamente al de los países de la OCDE. Si se tiene en cuenta que el déficit en cuenta corriente superará el 6 % del PIB, se tendría una suma de los dos déficits por encima del 12 % del PIB, que es insostenible. De hecho, provocará una caída de la tasa de ahorro que contraería la producción y el empleo, agravaría la inflación y ampliaría el déficit en cuenta corriente.
Abstract (English)
The economy will be seriously affected by non-compliance with the fiscal rule and the large current account deficit. The managers and guardians of the fiscal rule claim that this rule will be breached next year by more than 2% of GDP and, consequently, the fiscal deficit will exceed 5% of GDP. If the adjustments of the health and pension reform are added to this, we would have a fiscal deficit that far exceeds that of OECD countries. If we take into account that the current account deficit will exceed 6% of GDP, the sum of the two deficits would be above 12% of GDP, which is unsustainable. In fact, it will cause a fall in the savings rate that would contract production and employment, aggravate inflation and widen the current account deficit.
