Abstract (Spanish)
El crecimiento continuo del número de usuarios de los sistemas de comunicaciones móviles, la provisión de nuevos servicios y la demanda de latas tasa binarias han generado la necesidad cada vez mayor, de incrementar la capacidad. En este aspecto, se plantea el uso de antenas inteligentes en las estaciones base. El empleo de esta tecnología permitirá no sólo aumentar la capacidad, sino también mejorar la calidad de la señal, incrementar la cobertura, aumentar el nivel de seguridad e incluso introducir nuevo servicios aprovechando las particularidades de este tipo de antenas. Sin embargo, la implementación de las antenas inteligentes en los nodos B obliga a replantear la planificación y el despliegue de la red y hace más difícil la gestión de los recursos radioeléctricos y de la movilidad de los usuarios. En este artículo se da una visión general del estado del arte de esta tecnología y de su forma de implementarla en las comunicaciones móviles.
Abstract (English)
The continuous growth in the number of users of mobile communications systems, the provision of new services and the demand for binary rate cans have generated an increasing need to increase capacity. In this regard, the use of intelligent antennas in base stations is being considered. The use of this technology will allow not only to increase capacity, but also to improve signal quality, increase coverage, increase the level of security and even introduce new services taking advantage of the particularities of this type of antennas. However, the implementation of smart antennas at B-nodes forces a rethinking of network planning and deployment and makes it more difficult to manage radio resources and user mobility. This article gives an overview of the state of the art of this technology and how to implement it in mobile communications.
