Lineamientos para la elaboración de los estudios de ingeniería de redes de servicios públicos en proyectos de infraestructura en Colombia

In Colombia, although there are some documents that provide good engineering practices for the preparation of studies and designs of utilities, these are very general and for each type of utility, further, each professional proposes different criteria to the time to perform them. The lack of a document with guidelines leads to the use of multiple methods, which provide uncertainty regarding the validity of the results obtained and make decision-making difficult. For this reason, it is necessary to establish a document with guidelines, where clear and complete criteria for analysis are proposed, which generate better diagnoses regarding utilities and optimize the construction and standardization of the products delivered; achieving that decision making is carried out from quality information and that it has been obtained properly. This document presents the guidelines proposed for the preparation, evaluation, and analysis of the utility networks in infrastructure projects in Colombia, and which function as a tool that allows the professional, on the one hand, to prepare the study utility networks engineering following a standardized methodology and, on the other hand, the interested party in carrying out the project to be able to evaluate it.
