The purpose of this research was to demonstrate how the use and market of technology consumption, in the case of Smartphones, have a significant participation in the impact of the carbon footprint, based on factors of common use, performance, deterioration and manufacturing, oriented to the average use of a common inhabitant of the city of Bogotá. This behavior is part of the responsibility that each person who lives in the city has with the environment and its future. In order to achieve the above, a follow-up based on the research development was carried out, which would allow gathering the elements and details of habits of use in the user of mobile devices from the inclusion of the environmental perspective in the different factors that influence the impact to the carbon footprint. This follow-up resulted in the consolidation of information and the proposed solution, focused on the adoption of new technologies, or the correction of incorrect usage habits that support the reduction of the problem.
