Abstract (Spanish)
La evolución de la agricultura es insatisfactoria. El sector representa el 30% de la población y genera el 7% del ingreso; el ingreso per cápita es la cuarta parte del promedio nacional. Si se tiene en cuenta que la línea de pobreza está cerca del mismo porcentaje, resulta que más de la mitad de la población del sector rural está expuesta a la pobreza.
Abstract (English)
The evolution of agriculture is unsatisfactory. The sector represents 30% of the population and generates 7% of income; Per capita income is a quarter of the national average. If we take into account that the poverty line is close to the same percentage, it turns out that more than half of the population in the rural sector is exposed to poverty.
