The above mentioned in the three studies conducted for this project led to the conclusion that for health and rehabilitation professionals it seems to them that smart walkers should mainly focus on safety parameters, supporting and facilitating the mobility process of users with locomotion problems. Similarly, it was evident both in the literature and in the perception study that obstacle detection systems are indispensable in smart walkers.
