One hundred years have passed since the Bolsheviks took over the Winter Palace in the city of Petrograd. It was a little disruptive, with little violence and carried out by a small group of insurgents. The taking of the Palace was a deeply symbolic event, because that building represented the highest authority of power of a decadent empire, and to take the building was, symbolically, to take power. While the October Revolution began as a discrete event, its echoes would be global and transcend all corners of the globe. The taking of the Winter Palace was an act that marked the end of an order, a before and an after, a world that would never be what it was. This historical event is one of the most controversial of the twentieth century. Many historians have argued that 1917 marked markedly the beginning of a new stage in world history and that there emerged a series of dynamics and tensions that would manifest throughout the century.

En este artículo se explican los avances que se han obtenido en el proceso de dimensionamiento del problema para el diseño teórico del sensor basado en fibra. El diseño metodológico cubre dos fases: en la primera se revisó el estado del arte y en la segunda se realizaron algunas experiencias de laboratorio y simulación para obtener una primera aproximación al modelo. La investigación parte de un trabajo interdisciplinar de ingeniería mecánica, civil y electrónica. Los aportes de estas disciplinas, tanto en sus modos propios de proceder, como en temas específicos, favorecen la rigurosidad investigativa y aportan más elementos de juicio para resolver el problema.

A friend once gave me a cartridge belt that read "Art is more important than math". My first reaction was to write with a "not" marker between "is" and "more". However, the fundamental question was what is "art" and what is "math". The exercise of defining any of the two words is to average conceptions and in this way to restrict. Generally, when asked what art is, most people seek to relate it to techniques such as painting or sculpting, or to concepts such as what is beautiful or aesthetic (whatever that means); However, in the effort of humanity to develop a sense of individual identity, we have begun to confuse even our own definitions. Usually, people associate mathematics with statistics, engineering, science, and restrict their definition of use, excluding everyday life and its wide implementation possibilities.
