The main objective of this research is to analyze the literature on project management and Project Management Office (PMO), establishing the critical success factors that a PMO offers to organizations according to their context. In addition, to collect the different contributions that have generated several authors on the applicability of a PMO to organizations, and that allow develop a maturity in the life cycle of projects, given the different contextual and structural dimensions they have. The methodology used in this research is systematic with the search of the proposed topic, in journals and related reports in bibliographic reference databases, the construction of a database as a tool for gathering information and with the analysis made by the authors the review of the articles is made and the most relevant information is established.eng
