The conditions of the world economy and the Colombian economy changed in 2014 when they began to operate under missing savings conditions. Colombia sought to overcome the deficiency with a model that lowers the savings rate, reduces production and employment and precipitates collapse. The best off were the Asian countries that increased savings and the capital-product ratio. The Colombian economy, on the contrary, was led to a reduction in savings that reduced production and employment and precipitated the largest recessionary cycle of the last century.
