According to the document Conpes (2010), the Colombian dairy chain presents
Problems such as: high production costs, low productivity and low
level of associativity; These make it difficult to achieve productivity levels and
competitiveness according to international standards. While it is true that
have proposed strategies for their solution, currently the use of technology
obsolete or inappropriate, inefficient production systems, low level of
associativity and low level of formalization, continue to hinder the
improvement of the competitiveness of the sector. In such a way, that when studying the
socio-economic risks and the impact on sustainability of the formalization of the
primary link seeks, on the one hand, to know the behavior of the link
against policies in different scenarios and, on the other, strengthen strategies
that currently exist for the improvement of the entire chain.
At the local level, in the Cundinamarca region, the dairy chain is influenced
directly and indirectly through the political, economic, social and
cultural, national and international; what demands a holistic vision, through
the use of tools and methodologies different from conventional ones, such as
is the Dynamics of Systems, as this is a tool for modeling
complex systems. Therefore, alternatives can be proposed for the taking of
decisions for the benefit of farmers and in turn generate impact on the rest
of the chain. For this purpose, a bibliographic review is made to know the
global, national and local chain reality. Following this, a
exploratory study, in the field, to contrast the approaches found in
literature review and then model sustainability and risk
socio-economic of the primary link; to finally, study the behavior
of the link to the policies through different scenarios of sensitivity.
