dc.description.abstract | This paper presents the design and construction of communication interfaces EUSART (Enhanced Universal
Synchronous Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) using the OSP / Satellite device. The technological product that integrates hardware, software and communications interfaces, was the result of a research project developed by the Colombian School of Engineering JULIO GARAVITO jointly with the company OSP LTDA and funded by COLCIENCIAS. This OSP / Satellite device reused equipment GPRS or also called units Automatic Vehicle Location: AVL, specifically TT8750 + of Skypatrol and SYRUS of DCT, which are used for locating and tracking mobile assets with cellular coverage, and they add a channel satellite backup via modem STX-2 Globalstar®, to ensure continuity in communication at any geographic area in Colombia. | eng |
dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo presenta el diseño y construcción de interfaces de comunicación EUSART (Enhanced Universal Synchronous Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) utilizando el dispositivo OSP/Satélite. El producto tecnológico que integra hardware, software e interfaces de comunicaciones, fue el resultado de un proyecto de investigación desarrollado por la Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería JULIO GARAVITO conjuntamente con la empresa OSP LTDA y financiado por COLCIENCIAS. Este dispositivo OSP/Satélite reutilizó equipos GPRS o también llamados unidades de Localización Automática de Vehículos: AVL, específicamente TT8750+ de Skypatrol y SYRUS de DCT, los cuales son utilizados para la localización y seguimiento de activos móviles con cobertura celular, y se les adiciona un canal satelital de respaldo vía módem STX-2 Globalstar®, para garantizar la continuidad en la comunicación en cualquier zona geográfica de Colombia. | spa |
