Fórmulas para superar la crisis económica

Abstract

En 1993 y 1994 la economía pasó por un estado de bonanza promovida por los elementos artificiales de la apertura. Estas condiciones se modificaron en 1995. En los primeros meses de ese año se presentó el desplome de los precios de las acciones, el descenso de las ventas, de la construcción y del comercio. Luego, el proceso se trasladó a la industria que terminó el año con índices negativos y al desempleo que se elevó sistemáticamente en el segundo semestre. Si bien el deterioro económico se inició antes de la crisis política, no se puede desconocer que ésta ha dificultado el diagnóstico y ha reducido la gobernabilidad para enfrentar los problemas económicos. La ponencia parte de ésta realidad para precisar el agravamiento de la crisis en el primer semestre del año y formular algunas soluciones para superar la crisis.

In 1993 and 1994 the economy went through a state of prosperity promoted by the artificial elements of the opening. These conditions were modified in 1995. In the first months of that year there was a collapse in share prices, a decline in sales, construction and commerce. Then, the process moved to industry, which ended the year with negative indices, and to unemployment, which rose systematically in the second semester. Although the economic deterioration began before the political crisis, it cannot be ignored that this has made diagnosis difficult and has reduced governability to face economic problems. The presentation is based on this reality to specify the worsening of the crisis in the first half of the year and formulate some solutions to overcome the crisis.
