| spa |
dc.description.abstract | Sewage infrastructures allow the collection and transport of water from populated areas to a fluid disposal. Whether due to the non-existence or deficiency of the infrastructure, tools are required to implement or diagnose the sewerage service, including programs for the design and modeling of networks. The tools commonly used in the design of sewerage networks bring with them one or several problems related to their use and purpose, among them, the costs of commercial software, the need for training tailored to the software used, and in general its Little flexibility and no possibility of adjustments. An alternative solution to the problems associated with costs and flexibility is the generation of free software for the design of sewerage networks, which will allow the user the opportunity to adjust the necessary aspects to improve the design or enhance its performance. Based on the above, the hypothesis of this work is that, through the implementation of a numerical model in free software, it allows the user to design efficient, simple and low-cost profile sewerage networks, facilitating infrastructure investment or maintenance decision making. The degree work seeks to contribute to the use and management of hydraulic resources of the research line Physical and Numerical Modeling of Hydraulic Resources of the Hydraulic Studies Center Research Group of the Julio Garavito Colombian School of Engineering. | eng |
