| spa |
dc.description.abstract | This project aims to break certain social gaps for the identification of the six
basic emotions and thus have greater assertiveness and understanding with children who present
speech difficulties. The development of language and speech in children occurs in different
stages of growth, which in subsequent years significantly affects its
communication and expression of their emotions with other individuals. On the other hand, there are
language and speech disorders arising from genetic abnormalities, brain trauma, or hearing loss, which do not impede language comprehension, but do
emulating consistent expressions.
From this premise, the development of an algorithm that allows to identify
the 6 basic emotions of children with speech difficulties, from a program of
Artificial Intelligence or AI and an updated database with short videos containing
the spontaneous expressions of 12 mutually diverse children, ranging in age from 6 to
12 years.
Currently, there are many advances in the training of algorithms that
allow us to determine and classify the characteristic gestures for a certain emotion, but it continues
being a challenge due to cultural diversity, which generates a wide gap, for which reason
requires the increase of participating subjects for a sufficiently robust database.
This program will allow the closest relatives of these children with conditions
special, understand and direct the behavior of the minor in a more accurate way, so that
It is hoped that in the future it will be implemented and validated with children in real or simulated situations. | eng |
