dc.description.abstractEn este artículo se exponen los principales aspectos asociados con las tecnologías de mezclas asfálticas tibias (WMA, por sus siglas en inglés), se presentan sus ventajas y limitaciones, así como la forma más común de clasificación, describiéndolas de manera general, pero haciendo especial énfasis en aquellas tecnologías en que se trabaja con la inyección de agua para el espumado del asfalto - previniendo el desarrollo de estudios sobre este técnica - en los laboratorios de la Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería, dada la disponibilidad de una planta piloto para fabricar asfalto espumado. Igualmente, se presentan aspectos relacionados con el diseño, se resumen las principales características y propiedades de desempeño, y se hacen consideraciones sobre el empleo del RAP en la WMA. Por último, se presentan algunas conclusiones y se dan recomendaciones orientadas a la implementación de las tecnologías de WMA en Colombia.spa
dc.description.abstractIn this article the main aspects associated with warm asphalt mixtures technologies are detailed; we discuss tjeir advantages and limitations, as well as the most common ways of classifying, with general descriptions but with a particular focus on the technologies which are used to worl on water injections for the asphalt foam - anticipating further studies on this technique in the laboratory of a pilot plant to produce some asphalt foam. The article also presents aspects related to the design, a summary of the main characteristics and properties of the performance and the uses of RAP and WMA are considered. Finally, some conclusions are drawn and recommendations made about the implementation of WMA in Colombia.eng
