| spa |
dc.description.abstract | In Colombia it is estimated that approximately 68% of the road network is of tertiary type (those roads that connect the municipal capitals with their paths). Particularly, the department of Nariño has 69.7% of tertiary roads, despite the effort made in recent years by the National Government to improve this type of road infrastructure, it still fails to meet the basic connectivity and accessibility needs of the population. Especially, the inhabitants of rural territories have difficulty accessing basic health services, work, education, etc. In accordance with the above, this research work performs an analysis of the modification of accessibility by the intervention of tertiary roads in the territories under study, from the department of Nariño. To do this, a road network was developed for the department of Nariño and two indicators of topological type were evaluated: factor path and shortest path. Analyzes were applied to two different situations: current situation and situation with intervention. The results obtained indicate that the intervention of the tertiary roads contributes to improve the accessibility of the territories due to the change in speed. | eng |
