Abstract: A conventinal sedimetation tank was simulated in FLUENT, designed for a typcal colombian town, in order to perform a theorical comparision between the conventional design of these structures and the use of CFD packages. The model was performed in two dimensions, using the k-omega SST turbulence model, particle analysis was performed using the Lagrangian approach using the DPM model.
