Since its inception and in the near future plastic has transformed and will transform the quality of life of mankind but the accumulation of waste in landfills, oceans, public spaces, environmental reserves and public areas It is a global concern, so that recycling is the fastest and easiest way to contribute to the sustainability of the world's ecosystems form. Through this research the technical feasibility of the use of polyethylene plastic material of high density (HDPE) recycled in the manufacture of structural elements for the construction of housing in Colombia is studied and a possible solution to the lack of accessibility to housing for people is also studied low income and emergency, through the rapid construction of sustainable housing based recycled plastic HDPE (prPEAD). The material is studied by taking samples of manufactured specimens unit specimens and the assembly thereof forming structural elements which are determined physical properties, compression tests, stress, bending, horizontal lateral load parallel to the plane and perpendicular performed to the plane of element and the behavior of a housing made of elements 6,33 x 6,33 m prHDPE and bolted connections with metal foils under horizontal loading is studied.
