Abstract: In the services of a health entity, the nursing staff faces stressing situations during the performance of their labor functions as a consequence of the psychosocial factors they daily face. Since it is an evident risk in a health institution, it requires an adequate management. Psychosocial risk factors and their consequences are studied through a system dynamic model in order to understand their behavior and determine the policies contributing with the management of the psychosocial risk. Within the discoveries, it was found that the Health Service Providers (IPS) and specifically Clinica Universidad de la Sabana, shall pay attention to the Burnout Syndrome and implement good practices of the psychosocial risk to reduce the staff-related costs, to increment their profits, increase the labor motivation and thus improving the patients care.
